We Own a House!
We closed on our house today!!! It really turned out great for us since we were one of the last people to qualify for the USDA Home loan (100% financing) and we qualify for the $8000.00 tax credit.
Now comes the hard work! We plan on cutting out a wall with the help of Shaun and Joe, painting and getting our stuff moved in. Oh, how I love moving!!!

Telling the Peeps
April 1st we told our friends we are expecting. I typed out this game that was called "Guess Who's Baby This Is" It had a picture of the ultrasound on it and had questions about us for people to guess. It was funny!
1: It's sister is an extremely cute K-9.
2. It's mother's favorite rapper is Tupac.
3. It's father attended Campbell University.
We thought it was be hard but our friends know us too well!

1st Doctor's Appointment
After waiting for the longest month of our lives, we made it to March 31st. This was the day of our 1st doctor's appointment and Brandon and I were extremely excited and nervous. Around the 6th week mark, I started feeling nauseous and smells weren't my friend, so I had some re-assurance that there was definitely something in there making me feel this way. But nothing compared to when we saw the little thing wiggling around on the ultra-sound machine. It was so neat seeing the heartbeat. Brandon and I felt relief and I know I felt a sense of huge responsibility. It made it real that I needed to take care of this life inside me. Me! A mother! Weird!!!!!!

First Things First
It all started Friday March 12th...After going to a friend's birthday party the night before and someone asking me what's taking so long with Brandon and my baby making skills, I decided to take a test. I was a little late with my period but that was not unusual for me for the past few months. So that Friday morning, I snuck in the bathroom before Brandon woke up and nervously waited for the results. I hate to say that I was reluctant since I had done this a few times before and seeing that one blue line. This one blue line made me cry every month! But this time I had to wipe my eyes to make sure what I was seeing was true. There were two blue lines! In a cross!! I could NOT believe it!!
I stared at it for while and got ready for work...without telling Brandon. I've always wanted to surprise my husband with the news of a baby and now I had to think of a way to do it. I went to work and could not concentrate all day but managed to pick up a cute little onsey that read "I love my Daddy". When I went home I stuck the onsey in Brandon's laundry basket that happened to be full of unfolded clothes! Perfect!
I asked him to fold laundry with me since I had some to do. As he was getting further and further down his basket, I noticed him pick up the onsey. He silently stared at it with the most confused look on his face. He looked up at me with tears in his eyes when he finally realized what it meant. It was the best moment between us ever!!!!!!

Dear God, it's me Margaret...I mean Christina!
I'm scared!!! Okay, I'm scared of this thing called "blogging" but I've been told this is something I need to do. I was always bad at writing papers in college so this will be an interesting experience! I'm doing this for my family in Florida, California, Baltimore and everywhere else I forgot. Hopefully I can update this with the crazy events going on in our lives for everyone to see. So please bare with me and we can get through this together! :) And don't laugh at my gramatical mistakes!
